If you've never bought AD2 before, buying any of the combo packs through XLN directly is currently your best best. XLN Audio's Addictive Drums 2 drum software gives you more ways than ever to craft and fine-tune the perfect drums for virtually any type of music. buying them at $45 each directly through XLN (if you want 3 of them anyway) While not as nice as the $85 that XLN offers, you're still going to be money ahead by getting 3 adpacks for $99 vs. In this ear of massive ROMplers, and even larger hard drives, the samples included with Addictive Drums are relatively miniscule, and come in well. The installation was a largely painless affair, that took around 20 minutes total. Make sure to check out the reviews but first of all press the red button below to see if it fits your music taste. XLN Audio Addictive Drums is a live drum emulator compatible with Macs and PCs in the AU, VST, and RTAS format. If you are on the lookout for software or computer hard- and software in general, then this may be a fitting choice.

Sweetwater currently has the custom pack on sale for $99. XLN Audio presents Updates and Upgrades Addictive Keys Upgrade OEM. If you put in a code for the custom pack and you already had AD2, it just adds the extra adpacks and such on to your account, and you pick whichever ones you want whenever you feel like. If you buy that same custom pack from sweetwater or any other store, all they do is provide you a code that you register to your account on the XLN website.

Unfortunately, you can't take advantage of this through XLN if you already have the AD2 software on your account. With each individual adpack on sale for $45 right now, getting 3 for $85 is a great deal.

so for $85 dollars you get your choice of adpacks, midi kits and kit pieces. For example, the 'custom' pack includes your choice of 3 adpacks, 3 midi kits, and 3 individual kit pieces. However, these combo packs are usually a better deal than buying adpacks individually. Why would you bother with another store if you have to register through XLN anyway? This only matters if you already have AD2, but XLN won't let you purchase any of the combo packs directly since your account already has AD2 activated.

FYI (for those that don't know), it's worth it to shop around at other stores (sweetwater, musician's friend, etc) during these sales to see if they're also having a similar sale.
